Abstract

The aim of the present study was to develop a scale to assess organizational climate. The scale was based on the competing values model created by Quinn & Rohrbaugh (1983). A non-probabilistic sample of 474 working individuals from Mexico City, answered the scale. Factor analysis showed that the items grouped into two large different subscales identified as desirable and undesirable characteristics. Internal consistency suggests the scale is reliable. The items did not group into the expected factors, instead, they grouped into an alternative, two factor model.
