Abstract

Was analyzed the perception of teachers on the extent to which the institution is able to develop in them general skills related to “learning processes”, “social values”, “technological and international context” and “interpersonal skills”, in two universities (public and private), in the state of Sonora, Mexico. For this article was used the instrument of generic competences of Latin American´s tuning project, which evaluates the degree of importance and implementation of competences. Results shown that the teachers from both universities are agree that the highest level of importance and implementation of competences are those that deal with “learning process”, differing in terms of the less importance and implementation, where private university considered the competences of “interpersonal skills” dimension, while the public university considered the skills related with “social values”.
