Abstract
The purpose of this study was to evaluate an intervention program aimed at women with child sexual abuse experiences. The program consists of 11 individual sessions based on strategies of narrative therapy model, with the aim of reducing feelings of guilt and shame. The participants were four women who were assessed using a semi-structured interview conducted before and after treatment. The interviews were audio taped and transcribed, and by a thematic analysis across categories were contrasted changes in the narratives of participants after treatment. Positive changes were found, being more evident that refer to the image that participants have of themselves and those related to the decrease in feelings of guilt and shame on them, on the other hand, the intervention program was effective for participants according to the evaluation made of its own changes and the therapeutic process.
