Abstract

The aim of the study was to identify the attitude towards social limits in adults aged 25 to 50 years from the Toluca Valley, Mexico. A non-probabilistic sample was used, consisting of 197 males and females, administering the scale in order to measure the Attitude towards Social limits for adults. The results show that adjusting and transgressing to social limits are the best known reactions, whereas negotiating and withdrawing are less acknowledged alternatives. In the conative dimension of the attitude, a clear tendency towards adjusting, along with a reduced preference for transgressing was found; thus, it is concluded that a predisposition to respect norms and limits prevails in the field of the attitudes in the studied population.
