Abstract
In a sample of 337 students of the Technological University Fidel Velázquez of the State of Mexico, was investigated: the reliability and factorial validity of the of the suicidal ideation scale, Roberts-ces-d; the presence of suicidal ideation; personal identifying associated with suicidal ideation; and differences according to gender. The results showed reliability and validity of the scale factor; similar suicidal ideation among both genders (masculine gender = 1.82, 13.4%; feminine gender = 1.75, 13.1%); equality in the presence of suicidal ideation among boot genders (t (315) = 0.17, p > .05); different variables associated with suicidal ideation according to gender. We conclude that the convenience of suicidal behavior studies consider gender.
