Abstract
The information and communication technology (ICT), within the scope and educational system, favoring instruments represent knowledge and individual and social development, and provides a special educational support for learning. Its application to intellectual disability, leads us to reflect on the importance of technology in the care of special educational needs (learning facilitation, communication and language, or rehabilitation and social integration), and on the opportunities generally involve enrichment and development of various areas of intervention, and its agents, teachers, pupils and families.
