Abstract
This was a comparative quantitative study. The objective of this work was to evaluate if the activities to improve the participation of families differences elementary schools with high or low scores in the ENLACE test. According to a randomly simple sampling, 186 parents belonging to two public elementary schools were selected to respond the instrument to measure the schools activities. Results according to the discriminant analysis showed differences between schools associated to parents participative promotion related to the decisions making and volunteering activities. In fact, schools with high scores in enlace test presented more activities to stimulate the parents participation. In conclusion, it is suggested that improving parents collaboration in education is a factor associated to schools quality.
