Abstract
School performance has been explained from cognitive and pedagogical factors though insufficiently from the pedagogical factors. We pose to determine the relationship between resilience, self-esteem and selfefficacy, and school performance. Applying three instruments: Resilience, self-esteem questionnaires and school self-efficacy Scale, the school performance was obtained through grade point average. The sample consistedof 414 students, aged 8 to 13 (M = 9.9, SD = .94), from public and private schools of Toluca city, Mexico. The findings reported positive and significant relationships between variables and school performance were found, as well as differences. There was significant difference in self-esteem between children from public and private schools. It suggests to continue studying school performance in order to construct explicative models of the interaction of these variables.
