Abstract

The objective of the current investigation was to describe some variables that identify the Mexican student of baccalaureate with presence of suicidal ideation according with the Theory of Suicidal Behavior of Linehan. Participated all students of two baccalaureates in San Luis Potosi, which makes a total of 593 (49.91% men, 50.09% women). The suicidal ideation was measured by the Scale Roberts Suicidal Ideation, in addition to 21 socio-demographic variables and five psychological constructs.The presence of suicidal ideation was 4.9%. The variables associated with suicidal ideation were: 11 of the 21 sociodemographic and seven factors of psychological constructs. The results are discussed from the dialectical-behavior approach.
