Abstract

The escalating violence has permeated several layers of society, generating problems in several fields. Adolescents are not exempt from this situation, some of them living violent situations inside and outside the family that have affected the school environment. The bullying, as has been referred to school violence, has caused negative consequences such as low performance, scholar dropout, delinquency, drug use, depression and sometimes suicide. In order to know the levels of aggression in a sample composed of 980 high school students, we applied the Cisneros Test and Calijas Aggression Scale, whose psychometric properties showed appropriate characteristics of reliability and validity (Alpha 0.93, validity 54.11% y Alpha 0.89, validity 59.74% respectively). Statistically significant differences were found between young users and nonusers of drugs related with Psychological Violence, Social Exclusion, Intimidation, Physical Violence, Group violence and Aggression.
