Abstract
The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between depressive symptoms and academic performance with bullying in children. A non-probability sampling of 403 children (48.9% boys and 51.1% girls), with a mean age of 10.3 years was used. An instrument called “Así nos llevamos en la escuela” (this way we get along at school) mesure the frecuency and the damage of bullying and consist in three scales: spectator, victim and perpetrator. Depressive symptomatology was assessed with the revised and adapted version of Depression Scale Center for Epidemiologic Studies (ces-dr). The academic performance was measured with last grade point average. The results showed a statistically significant relationship between depressive symptoms and school performance with bullying.
