Abstract

The aim of this study was to identify the predominant emotional indicators manifested by children from first to sixth grade of public schools in vulnerable situations, using the Projective Test of the Human Figure of Koppitz. The instrument was applied in groups in the classrooms to 877 children, of whom 548 were girls and 329 children. The obtained results indicate that the predominant factors were of general form: insecurity, anguish and passive resistance to the environment, anxiety, psychosomatic problems and concern and aggression. Regarding gender, it was found that most of the emotional factors found in boys are externalizing and in girls internalizing. In the age differences, it was found that in children under 6 to 8 years old there is a higher anxiety index and in 9 to 12 year olds there is a greater presence of aggressiveness.
