Abstract
Kidnapping has been globalized in the last decades, affecting the life general population, as well as people with anti-legal behaviors. This research is exploratory and descriptive of retrospective longitudinal design that goes from June 2019 to January 2011. The objective was to analyze the increasing rate in kidnapping in the state of Hidalgo, Mexico. The primary source of information for this study was taken from files that are shielded at discretion. The lack of prevention of this crime and the precariousness of justice create a violent and insecure environment inside general population, and as a consequence, kidnapping has spread to the ten regions of the state of Hidalgo, being La Comarca Minera the one with a highest frequency of this crime. Finally, it is important to mention that the presence of organized crime is still minimal in the state.
