Abstract
The purpose of this study was to test the effectiveness of a program based on regulation of balance to promote mother-child social approaches in mother-child dyads with a history of child physical abuse. A program of behavioral intervention was instrumented through a single case experimental design using instructions, modeling and visual feedback. The results showed that significant differences in social approaches and decrease in the instructional behaviormother’s, which indicates the importance of co-regulation of balance the behaviors of abusive mothers as a strategy to decrease the probability of episodes of physical abuse.
