Abstract

Pope Francis has impacted both the Catholic Church and the world with his dynamism expressed through messages, gestures and attitudes. One of the topics where we can observe this impact is education. His words about this important issue express a Christian Humanistic commitment and a consistent social orientation; his words are accompanied with a close and straight style, full of hope. Francis considers human being worthy because of his dignity, supported from the conviction that he was created in the image and likeness of God and for having higher faculties and abilities. From this point of view, education is the means man has to develop himself integrally for his personal and social fullness. Therefore, education must attend the academic, ethical, religious and social dimensions of the person in a balanced way with the help of special agents and institutions committed with the challenges of the present time.
