Abstract
Currently, several studies show the relevance of neuropsychological processes such as attention and memory in the process of student learning. The overall objective of this research is to analyze the level of attention and memory in Colombian students with poor academic performance. The sample consisted of 29 students with ages between 5 and 14 years to poor academic performance. Tests were administered the test Visual and Auditory Continuous Performance and Rey Complex Figure. There are moderate significant positive correlations between visual attention, auditory attention and visual memory; no significant differences between visual attention, visual memory and auditory attention in the study sample. These findings are relevant to the development of programs intervention to improve performance academic.
